Seth Turner A Rising Star In Country Music

Nashville - Day 5

Hey Everyone,

We had quite a day today. The get together for the Country Music and Nashville Star message board was today. We all met at the Country Music Hall of fame where we actually met eachother, many of us for the first time, although we have all been corresponding for months. As you will see in the pictures, we took turns singing for the group, we played a few games (I actually won the word search game which netted me a brand new DVD player), and basically just visited with each other. What a great group of people they all are.

Later, when the get together was over, we headed into downtown Nashville to have more night out together. This was absolutely the best night of all. I haven't had that much fun......ever! Thanks to all you for that night.

Picture one is of Jason Legrand. Jason is a singer/songwriter from Indiana. He was also one the Nashville Star contestants. Great voice, even better guy. Those of you in the Cincinnati area with the chance to see him and his band should do so. Contact him through his website www.jasonlegrand.com

The next shot is Patrick Watters formerly of Wisconsin....somewhere, but now lives down in Missouri. As equally a talented songwriter and singer as anyone else in the room, but chose not to participate in the NS competition. He got some ribbing over it too. Congratulations goes to him and his lovely fiancee, Misty. They informed us all that nuptials were impending. Here's his site www.patrickwaters.tripod.com

Heather Plottel is a California trasplant to Nashville. What a gift she has mixing words music together. She has written some of the prettiest songs I've ever heard. I don't know if she has site to listen to her stuff or not, but if I find one, I will pass it along.

Thr group shot of the lady with the three men surrounding her is Tori Mason accompanied by Chris Young, myself, and Jason Legrand, otherwise known as "The Mannekins." She was singing a song called "The Man Song," we were helping. You can listen to the performance here: www.soundclick.com/bands/8/duncanmusic.htm

That was a crazy catfish.....that's all I can say about that. Umm, yeah. I think Jason had been drinking at this point, I'm not sure exactly, I think I had been too. Here I am standing outside of the world famous Tootsie's in downtown Nashville. This shot was taken just prior to me singing on one of the Tootsie's stages. What an honor it was to be on the stage that so many others have performed on. From what I've been told, it is unheard of for someone in my position to have that stroke of luck, which makes it all the more an honor and memorable.

The last picture is on the stage with the neon sign in the background. Just so you know, I sang "Workin' Man's Blues" and "Long Black Veil."

See ya'll later........
