Another Day In My Life” CD review from About.com
The Bottom Line
From The editor:

In this ever-changing world one would think that the traditional cowboy is a thing of the past, just a memory, then along comes Seth, a true cowboy in every sense of the word right down to his pressed Wrangler Jeans.
Seth is true to himself, his music, his friends, and most of all his family. He has an instilled integrity that just can't be bought, this integrity shows thru in every aspect of his life.
I really enjoyed “Another Day In My Life.” There are drinking songs, loving and losing songs, and songs of rodeo and ranch life. Seth reminds me a lot of Chris LeDoux when he was first starting out as a singer. He has a mixture of a smooth ballads and rowdy honky-tonk.  Among my favorite songs are "A Cowboy’s Song" and "Every Time I Get On." I was very pleasantly surprised at just how much I enjoyed this cd. I have been a fan of Seth' for quite awhile now, but “Another Day In My Life” made me more of a fan. A bonus track, "Time Well Spent" was a last minute addition to this album. This ballad was a great addition and a pleasent surprise. If you enjoy rodeo honky-tone music, then this is the cd for you. Seth is making sure that country music does not die anytime soon

Seth Turner is another talented artist who came to my attention during the second season of "Nashville Star". Although the CD I received isn't the finished product, it's evident that this guy's got a lot to offer to the country music industry. The songs are all originals, and with nothing but a guitar to accompany the vocals, Seth's voice and lyrics shine through even more.
Without asking, I'd guess that Seth's influences include Garth Brooks and George Strait, with a little Merle Haggard and Chris LeDoux thrown in, and you can hear traces of each in his voice and phrasing. I'm eager to hear the finished product, because I think with a little fine-tuning in post-production, "Another Day In My Life" will be a very popular CD among country music fans.
My favorite tracks include "Every Time I Get On" (not many people write rodeo songs anymore), "Another Day In My Life", which offers a fresh look at life after being left, "Settlin' In To Settle Down Again", a tale of two people jaded about love but willing - and wanting - to find the real thing, and "Cheyenne", an up-tempo story about a love in a honky tonk.
Seth's got a good, clean vocal style and a talent for writing songs that the average person can relate to. While Nevada's a long way from Nashville, I'd say that "Another Day In My Life" is a giant step on the road to Music City.

 “Another Day In My Life

Seth Turner's CD is finally available. Since reviewing Seth Turner's Demo CD, this is one that I was anxiously awaiting. There's no letdown here folks, not at all. So, while listening you can hear obvious influences, but then it takes a twist, so instead of guessing, I asked Seth about his influences..... "My musical influences come from a variety of artists ranging from Merle Haggard and Lefty Frizzel to Dwight Yoakam and David Ball to George Strait and Chris LeDoux. I was also raised on classic Rock and Roll; Bob Seger, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, and CCR to name a few. To be honest, I'm not sure what really comes with all of those influences, but I'd sure love for someone to tell me!"
The influences are evident with vocals that show tinges of Dwight Yoakam and Garth Brooks while remaining original. Last year in Nashville, Seth Turner performed at the French Quarter cafe "Songwriters Round", after his performance one guy in the crowd yells "Watch out Garth Brooks".... That is a start, but Seth doesn't copy anyone, he has a unique style that does nod to some greats, but isn't that what it's about? Seth Turner is an honest country singer, and songwriter that can give you chills, give you an honest-to-god cry in your beer number, or give you a Saturday night belly-buster with some of his more humorous numbers.
You really do get the full gambit, memories of Country Music's colored past run through the veins of this young upstart. Seth Turner keeps the spirit alive, whether it is the Chris LeDoux styling of "Everytime I Get On", or the true cowboy song that could as easily be mistaken for Dwight Yoakam, or even written by Canada's Ian Tyson on "A Cowboy's Song", or maybe the feel-good drinkin' numbers like "There's A Hole In My Bottle (Where All The Beer Comes Out)" or "Tied One On A Little To Tight".
Seth Turner as a singer is as strong as any I've seen signed to major label deals over the past year, and his songwriting puts him in the upper echelon. Grab onto this star on the way up.... Although I feel Seth Turner performing live is far ahead of this release, he is no slacker in the "in-studio" area either. A great CD filled with true and honest Country Music that is bound to make Seth Turner a name that will be remembered. Another Day In My Life is a great disc, but if this is just any old day, I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings. 5 Stars out of 6
