“Another Day In My Life”

Tied One On A Little Too Tight | Listen |
I wrote this one after a night on the town with my buddy Phil. I’d like to say that I don’t remember much from the night, but I do. I’ll leave it to you to decide what really did and what really didn’t happen.

Give Me Something In A Longneck | Listen |
This is one of my first really good fast tempo songs. It tells the story of man and woman who didn’t work out and how the man dealt with the first night without her.

The Waltz | Listen |
Boy meets girl. Both have been on the bad end of a bad relationship. They tell each other their stories....

Hot Sands, Pina Coladas, and Caribbean Beer | Listen |
I was listening to "Five o'clock somewhere and wondered why I had never written a "Jimmy Buffet song," after all I had been his fan for years too. Thirty minutes later I had this one.

Another Day In My Life | Listen |
Breaking up with someone you don’t want to is often difficult, this song is true in every detail. I lived every word exactly as it is written. I am proud that this song is the title track to this upcoming album. This is one of the best things I’ve done to date. No matter what we face in life, we have to go on with the rest of it, this is how I did it.

Settlin’ In To Settle Down Again | Listen |
I don’t think that there is one of us who hasn’t made mistakes or chosen the wrong relationship to pursue. These two people ponder whether or not they should go down that road one more time.

I Don’t Need To Know Your Name | Listen |
Every now and then you have to write something funny. This is based on my experiences inside the club I worked in as a bouncer, watching the groupies and how they worked.

Every Time I Get On (They Say I’m Crazy)  | Listen |
Cowboy discussing his life in the rodeo. This was my first “Chris LeDoux¬esque” song. I am very pleased with the response it has received.

There's a Hole In My Bottle | Listen |
The night before going into the studio in Nashville, I wrote this song in the room Merle Haggard always stays in when he is in town. The clerk was a great guy and moved me there after he told me about it. I instantly knew I had to put it on the album

A Cowboy’s Song | Listen |
This is the first song that I ever needed help with. My then roommate Dave helped me out with some geography and phrasing that really wasn’t working. This tells of a young man heading for college, but instead choosing to hire on with a cattle drive in the late 1800’s

Cheyenne | Listen |
I’ve been asked many times if Cheyenne was really a woman that once existed in my life. Although I can see her face clearly, no, she never did. I was driving home to see my dad for Christmas and the idea popped into my head as I went through Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Ain’t Necessarily Good | Listen |
No news is good news right? You might think differently once you hear this one. I did live this one, not all that long ago either.
