Seth Turner A Rising Star In Country Music

Seth Turner News

On the night of May 20, Seth was given the opportunity to open in concert for Tracy Byrd at Gilley’s Las Vegas. He came on to the stage with a rousing support from the local audience there to see the show. He didn’t let them down. With no other musicians behind him, Seth took his guitar and blew the roof off of Gilley’s that night. He performed four songs off of his upcoming debut album “Another Day In My Life,” including “Tied One On A Little Too Tight,” “Ain’t Necessarily Good,” “Every time I Get On,” as well as the title cut. The crowd clapped and danced and screamed and shouted to each of his songs. Seth showed charm and charisma while singing and talking to the audience. As he finished his last song, he simply

thanked the crowd, set his guitar down, and exited the stage, with one simple wave as he went. To no one’s surprise but his own, he was called by the crowd to play one more. With all the humility of someone performing in concert for the first time, he laughed and said he never dreamed that an encore would happen and wasn’t prepared for it. Prepared or not, he once

more strapped on his guitar and did a stunning rendition of the Bob Seger hit “Night Moves.” When asked why he chose that song instead of one of his own works, Seth responded,

“I wanted to give them (the audience) something that we could all have fun with and enjoy.” We all did. I was one of many singing along with him that night.

When he finished and the lights came on, the entire room was on their feet applauding. Seth walked to the front of the stage to receive flowers and sign autographs.

“It was a very moving experience for me to be on the end of that stage signing autographs. I really thought that I would be saying thank you and walking off the stage.” Also there to greet Seth was his mother, Delia. They both wore the same big smiles as they hugged each other. I was personally touched as I watched him hand his mother the guitar pick he used for the evening.

His first concert now a success, Seth was approached by many that night requesting autographs and pictures. He signed and posed for every one of them, never failing to smile, shake hands, and thank all of them for their praise. If May 20th was a sign of things to come for this talented young artist, then I can’t wait to see what he does next.
